Kleine Marco, Kleine Film, Kleine depressie
Kleine Marco, an upcoming film producer and poet from Amsterdam, asked me if I could do the sound design and musical compositions for his documentary short film.
The movie is both heavy and calming. It explores his suicide attempt and how he has dealt—and continues to deal—with it. This project was a real challenge for me, as I have lost quite a few friends this way and have family members who have attempted the same, far too young and far too soon. I poured my heart out during the production, yet I remained focused on the emotions I needed to convey.
Fortunately, after the premiere, the feedback was unanimous: my music and sound design felt comforting, like a parent overseeing a difficult process. That was exactly my goal—to create a sense of protection, like an arm over the shoulder, allowing the emotions to simply be.

As an experienced music professional with 15 years in the industry, my goal is to share my knowledge and showcase my creative accomplishments. My journey has taken me from playing in bands and ghostwriting to session musicianship, ultimately becoming a full-circle producer. I work with artists from start to finish—from developing the initial idea and shaping the concept to recording sessions and bringing the project to completion. This includes collaborating with my clients to build a vision for promoting and performing their work.
In addition to my music career, I have cultivated intellectual depth through my studies and achievements as a philosopher, particularly in social and policy matters.

I aim to make listeners forget they are watching or listening to something, allowing them to fully feel the emotions evoked by the music or sound.
